Award-winning Farm Shop

The Udder Farm Shop is based in North Dorset between Shaftesbury and Sherborne.

Farm shop, coffee shop, deli, fishmongers and butchery.

With a growing demand for an alternative to supermarket shopping, The Udder Farm Shop was opened by farmers Jane and Brian Down. They own a 190 acre beef farm on the edge of the Blackmore Vale and made the decision to expand into retail in 2005, having farmed in the village for three generations since 1938.

The farm shop offers products from Dorset and the surrounding counties and is run by friendly staff. The deli, fishmongers and butchery staff are highly knowledgeable about their produce, offering insights into how best to cook meat and fish. The coffee shop offers inside and outside seating, and a large children’s play area.

The aim of the farm shop is to offer customers tasty, local food at reasonable prices.

Come on in, we’re open! Please don’t be put off by the ‘road closed’ signs at the crossroads – access to houses/businesses is still fine and the road isn’t closed until further up the hill.

The farm shop offers local food produce, bread, chocolates and sweets, gifts and toiletries.
